Hello Guys,

Just picked up a N9, flashed the zImage and also developer tools.

Problem :-

When I connect my N9 to the PC I do not see the /user/Mydocs, on the root of N9 I have Dcouments folder, that's where I put the bz2 file for ICS and Sillyboot, how do I install now? did a mkdir \home\nitdroid in SU mode and got no error message but how do I proceed now?

Thanks,
Munchy

I did successfully flash the kernel , so if I placed the ICS and Sillyboot files in the folder called Dcouments I should use the below command

tar xjvf /home/user/MyDocs/Documents/nitdroid_n9_ics_alpha3.tar.bz2 -C /home/nitdroid

Thanks a lot dude, I checked that using some Unix commands while I was in College, pwd and lc, but I guess for windows users it gets a bit confusing do maybe you can put in a line somewhere on the tutorial regarding this.

Thanks,
Munchy

Hey Dude,
I was talking about mentioning the fact that when the phone is connected to the pc (read windows) using USB Mass Storage, the default folder of the phone in windows is /user/MyDocs so we just need to place the files (ICS and sillyboot) in the root of the phone and not search for the folder.

PS:- My N9 is now dual booting meego and droid. It worked. Thanks a lot for all the help.

Hi, i have a lot of questions.

1.Might anyone can provide source code on github (android_vendor_files)
2.What's soft is opensource from nokia? (links)
3.Meego kernel (sources)

I googl it for a few hours but no success.

why asking DEV questions in tutorial thread? Remove post and ask here: http://forum.nitdroid.com/index.php?board=3.0

Hei
I have followed everything step-by-step, but on final stage(at sillyboot) I just can't get the permission to do it. I have used devel-su and also installed the opensh.deb and used both commands, to end up in the same stage. Can't remove old file sbin/preinit: Permission denied
I have a N950

you should follow instruction step-by-step. flashing kernel before unpacking.

I reflashed today with Win_OCF_02-6_RM680-RM680-OEM1.exe the flasher you provided in tutorial, a clean install(I needed that).
After that, I unpacked the nitdroid and failed to unpack the boot.
Also I have followed several topics, but I still can't manage to get it working.

EDIT: Ok, it seems I just runned the oneclickflasher. So, I shall extract the img.bin into the flasher folder and run the command: flasher -a img.bin -k zImage --flash-only=kernel -f -R, right?

   Fuck yea, it worked!!
But I can't remove the Warranty Void message from terminal.
