The N900 has nitdroid, just not based on cm9. I'm using it from time to time on my N900 ;)

Regards Dousan...

yes but it slow, and unresponsive sometimes, its not smooth enought, the market crashes, some aplications goes slows and
makes the phone reboot, overheatings...etc

Thats why, a cm9 ICS means much more updated build, and if the hardware works fine, that means the phone will function at 100% ( if not practically ).

OK, well that makes two of us for whom nitdroid is pretty much the only reason we are keeping our n900's.

Please note I'm not going to bother you guys with asking "when it will be released."

Instead I would rather just reiterate the desire of myself and I'm sure many others, that if the phone functionality is working even nominally well enough to at least begin making and taking calls, even if it isnt 100% stable in every way, please consider releasing the build to the community to beta, alpha, or even pre-alpha test this ASAP.

Some of us might even be proficient enough to help hunt down or even correct some bugs.

But having the phone functionality working under droid, and hence the audio subsystem, was key, at least for me, to care enough about loading up the build environs and/or cross development tool chain. As long as the phone functionality is nominally there I'm sure there are a lot of us besides me who cant wait to fire it up no matter what else is broken! WE'LL HELP YOU FIX IT! =) Or perhaps some can donate funds, I know I might be inspired to donate a $20 here or there if I could get my hands on it.

So, in short, pleasepleasepleaseplease please please pretty please!!!11!!!!!one!!!1! help us n900 owners out and give us something to play with.

Either that, or, anyone wanna buy a used n900?

It is slowly going. :) (cm9(00) beta user), maybe we'll even get 4.1.1 instead of 4.0.4, but that's a secret.

What a tease!  >:(

Just kidding.  ;D
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the release date. BTW, I don't mind not having the latest Android version, I just want a fully usable port on our N900.

Got my n900 fixed i thought it was dead .... aaand it's in the service again because they have fucked by mistake the sd card slot and i am using nitdroid only by sd card because it is easier to debug ... I was so enthusiastic to finally test this and finish it... the problem is that the sd slot is on a flex cable .. i don't know how are they going to fix it but i have trust in them.

Sanjeev won't do a public beta, I asked him: no answer, so please do NOT bother him with those questions. He will release when he feels it's ready. If this won't happen, we have to make our own ROM. But trust him, he knows what he does. And yes, I also can't wait for this, it's so smooth.., those crappy experimental 2.3.7 install was a bad idea by me.

Yeah,I understand if he doesnt.....I dont know if I could be helpful in any other way, since I dont know the coding part  :(

The N900 is a great phone but cant reach its full potential bcoz of incomplete/missing features on the software side, and I guess the new ICS ROM is our only hope, right?
