If you wish to know more about the progress, you can follow e-Yes' twitter, which u can easily find on a few of these forums, also, he stated that the 4.2 on N9 now is considered a very early build with many things to be fixed and patched to be at least an alpha version, so all we can do here is wait for the update, or help if out if u know how to code in C. He's now working alone, or just a small team, so it will take time.
sailfish never really put up an expected date for the source code release as well, i guess it will take more time for Jolla as well.
TL;DR: I don think it's going to be released anytime soon for both
