Try to flash stock kernel only:

flasher -F <firmware-image> --flash-only=kernel -f -R

If I run (Version 059J250)
flasher -a DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY_003-OEM1-958_ARM.bin -k zImage –flash-only=kernel -f -R
I get the following response:
ERROR: ReadFile(65540) GetOverlappedResult() error 1167 timeout 4975 ms

What I’m doing wrong? :-(

Coderus, thanks for reply. Re-Installed, same problem. Will check another PC tomorrow. Get the same error if I just run "flasher -F firmware.bin -f -R". Posted now on maemo.org
because problem seems not related to zImage.  >:(

Hi, I'm new :D
Can I use this firm: DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1.339.03.1_PR_LEGACY_339_ARM_RM-696_PRD_signed.bin? Or I must use DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin? Why I've the error Bad ape-algo format in DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1.339.03.1_PR_LEGACY_339_ARM_RM-696_PRD_signed.bin?

Thanks

Thanks. Now the error is: Devicelock ON but I've take the option on OFF. If I go to change the protect code it send me an error but I don't set the protect code.

Have the Devicelock ON: cannot flash unsigned image

I definitely have Devicelock OFF.  Tried to turn it on (to try the on and off trick) but it won't allow me to (asks to set a password then tell me wrong password even though I never had on).

After reading all 14 pages I also tried a straight flash like this:

C:\Program Files\Nokia\Flasher>flasher -F DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY
_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin -f -R

But that give me an error about not being able to downgrade:

C:\Program Files\Nokia\Flasher>flasher -F DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY
_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin -f -R
flasher 3.12.1 (Oct  6 2011) Harmattan

Hi thanks for the response.  I have actually tried it on two different machines with two different files...this is pretty frustrating.  Don't usually have problem flashing anything.

One question maybe the problem...on the code I posted the lines that read:

Suitable USB interface (bootloader/phonet) not found, waiting...
Found device RM-696, hardware revision 1603
NOLO version 2.3.6
Version of 'sw-release': DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_005

Is that my current version?  If so is what I am trying to flash different and causing the error maybe?
DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin

I downloaded the version from Navifirm that corresponded to the number on my sim.  What is PR_005?

Edit - after a quick visit to Navifirm noticed there are two different entries for my device.  I am now downloading the second variant that is PR_005. Gonna install and see what happens.
