alright am gonna try one more time lol, ive been trying since 11am no lie lol and finally got alpha 1 installed. Am flashing back my pr2. and im going to reinstall the dual kernel and sillyboot again. when am on terminal and i install sillyboot, the next step should be mkdir /home/nitdroid/? then this tar xjvf /path_to_archive/nitdroid_n9_ics_alpha1.tar.bz2 -C /home/nitdroid/?? that line that says path_to_archive means like /home/user/MyDocs/  ? so the line should be tar xjvf /home/user/MyDocs/nitdroid_n9_ics_alpha1.tar.bz2 -C /home/nitdroid/ ? then reboot?

I would recommend installing alpha2 since it has many fixes.

You can either install alpha 1 and then install alpha 2 on top of it or install alpha 2 and then download the file from here http://forum.nitdroid.com/index.php?topic=197.0 and copy it to /home/user/MyDocs/Downloads/

sample cmds:

mkdir /home/nitdroid/
tar xjvf /home/user/MyDocs/nitdroid_n9_ics_alpha2.tar.bz2  -C /home/nitdroid/
cp /home/user/MyDocs/init.nokiarm-696board.rc
reboot

So i managed to install ics alpha2, couldnt fix the battery bug cuz terminal couldnt find the folder. Now when i boot up with meego and i mount the device on the computer i dont see any nitdroid folder anywhere. I did follow the instructions and i dont see the folder. is not hidden or anything, it just not there.

You won't see the nitdroid folder when mounting in usb mass storage mode in Meego. The mount occurs at the /home/user/MyDocs level and nitroid is installed at the /home/nitdroid hierarchy. If you go into terminal and do: ls /home/nitdroid you should see it list files. Are you able to boot into alpha 2 nitdroid successfully?

The battery issue is probably already fine if you only installed alpha 2 nitdroid. Test it out by looking at your battery level in Meego. Then reboot into Nitdroid and charge it for an hour or so. Then reboot back into Meego and see if the battery level has gone up.

Hey Guys
first of all, awesome work!

I install the kernel as described but instead
DFL61_HARMATTAN_30.2012.07-1_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin
i used
version PRx.x xx.xxxx.xx-x_PR_xxx.
After successful flashing the mobile doesnt boot.
It stops at the Nokia logo :(

Im just wondering, if it is possible to modify the newest Kernel to use this version and also fix the password issue.

br
me

ps: phone is booting after reflashing the original firmware.

When I install the kernel I get the waranty warning and then my phone turns off again.
I have now tried three times with me having to use:

flasher -F firmware.bin -f -R to reboot my phone

I am now sick of re-installing all of my apps over and over.
Any suggestions

Thanks

I cannot do next step because the phone turns on to the Waranty warning for about 30 seconds before turning off again. I cannot get past this message and into my phone without re-flashing the FIASCO image.
Also what next step? You need to be in the phone to install sillyboot, right?

Thanks
